EDV 2019 Result Published
Here you can find the results of EDV lottery as EDV 2018 Results is already published. Before checked the results, you should have your confirmation number that you get while submitting the form. Also, your date of birth and your correct name.
This lottery program conducted by the U.S. government has helped many foreign nationals get green cards and settle in the U.S. Every year, 50,000 immigrant visas are granted to the lucky winners of this DV program. This program is not open to citizens of all countries but only to countries that have not sent too many immigrants to the U.S.
Most of the winners of the lottery program immigrate to the U.S. through consular processing. However, those in the U.S. on non immigrant visas at the time of winning the lottery may be eligible for adjustment of status.
Entrants can check their results from after May 15. To check the results, applicants will need their lottery confirmation number that they received when they submitted their applications. Name list of the lottery winners will not be made available by DHS so the applicants cannot contact the U.S. Embassy or any other agency to know whether or not they have won the lottery.
DHS warns the participants of the lottery to be aware of scammers who send emails claiming that the participants have won the lottery. Most of them scam the lottery participants by sending them letters and emails asking them to pay fees in advance to get their immigrant visas. DV entrants must remember that the U.S. government does not communicate with the winners directly through letters, emails or phone about the status of their green card lottery applications. The only way to check the status of a DV lottery is through the entrant status check of the DHS.
