Yamaha R6 is powered by a 599cc, four cylinder engine producing 118.4 HP at 14,500 rpm and 61.7 Nm at 10,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It weighs 190kg and thus, a huge loss of torque and power is seen for just 10kg of weight reduction from Yamaha R1. Both bikes have high seat height and thus, riders with average built would struggle to get their feet planted all the time.

R15 Version 3.0 is highly inspired from R6 and R1 as it also comes with wing design rear seat panel and fully digital console.
